I want to sing like Beyoncé by Ayomide ‘Wes Oriolowo
Let me hide in your hands like a prayer point, darling. Open up
Who else can you see except us? Silence is a third party. Ask me what
dreams are; sing my art from your tongue.
Let me hear my melodies scattered in your head
like a mixtape
Whisper me softly I do not want to be a broken wish.
Never leaving the tongue a fallen hero; another letter for ink.
If I die let it be as smoke a traveler galloping.
By chance, if I get to live let it be as a genie
shapeshifting; never finding home in just one body.
